Sybilla Francis
Principal Solicitor
Sybilla is our Principal Solicitor with over 25 years post admission experience. Sybilla first commenced practice in the UK before being admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2013. Following admission, Sybilla worked at local boutique family law firms prior to establishing her own firm.
Sybilla is experienced with assisting clients in parenting and property matters. Adopting an empathetic approach whilst delivering her clients with practical solutions to their family law problems, Sybilla emphasises the importance of her clients obtaining timely and cost-effective advice.
With a wealth of experience in family law matters, Sybilla appreciates the significance of negotiation and mediation in reaching an effective resolution. However, is also able to provide strong and tactical representation in the Courts when required.

Yakira is a Lawyer at Francis Family Law, having been admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2023. Commencing her career in law in 2018, Yakira has worked at two mid-tier local firms. Yakira has six years’ experience with providing client centred outcomes and managing matters with integrity and understanding.
Yakira has developed skills throughout her legal career which when coupled with her accounting studies and background managing a company provide clients with a valuable and detail oriented resource.
Family Law is a natural fit with Yakira’s empathy and desire to help and her lived experience fuels her passion to assist with matters affecting children. Yakira is well placed to advocate for the best practical outcomes for our clients.
